We have been working so much on the inside of our house that we have kind of neglected the outside.
In the front yard we have grass, roses, lavender, daffodils, hydrangeas, Palm trees and some cacti. {A wide variety of plants!}
Mom found us a great deal on a lawn mower at a garage sale, so hopefully we will pick that up next week and get started tending to our garden.
This is right near the front door. Some flowers mixed in with lots of weeds and grasses! {at least it's green, right?}
Since hearing about our new (to us) mower we've been talking about how we want to "design" our yard and maintain it.
As for the design...I have no clue. Our house is a ranch/mission/Spanish style so I will need to do a little searching to see what plants look best and find some inspiration pictures.
We agreed that Chris would be in charge of mowing and using the weed whacker while I would be in charge of the hand weeding and planting. Works for me as I'm not a fan of the weed whacker!
