Shed project

One of the projects we worked on this weekend was painting our sheds in the backyard. The previous owners left two white, metal sheds that are in pretty good condition.

The sheds were pretty glaringly white and they reflected the sun right into our bedroom; making it pretty warm and bright, even with the curtains.

First step:
Paint the trim pieces on the sheds a nice brown color (spray paint was easy to use for this!)

Step two:

Roll and hand paint a nice green paint all over the sheds
(don't look to closely, it was hot and my hand wasn't too steady)

Step three:
Paint "wood" onto the doors and paint green crossbars.

I am so happy with how they turned out! They blend so much better in the yard and our room is a bit cooler. We do need to paint the roof, but we had other projects to work on.

While I was at work today, Mom painted my picket fence so it blends in better (we are going for a tropical theme in the backyard and a white fence doesn't really go).

Looking much better getting painted.

So much better!
Although Mom did realize after she was done that the brown is really interior paint, so we ill see how well it holds up in the outdoors.

Mom also re-strung our patio lights, they are now even, tight, and all working!

I have so much more to share with you! This will have to do for now, I need to spread out the updates so I can accurately show you how much work is being done!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. We are busy at work, so make sure that you are being safe:
watch kids around pools, watch out for snakes, and enjoy the scenery (especially if you get stuck in traffic).
