The weekend.

I was so ready for this weekend to be here! We have had a quiet summer at work (meaning very few fires, which is a good thing!), but this last week made up for it. We had two brush fires and multiple structure fires, making us very busy.

Friday night I was able to spend with my Maid of Honor, April, and her sister, Lynette. {My camera was being a dud, so I don't have a picture of us from last night, so here is one of us from my bachelorette party.}

We went out for wonderful Mexican food and margaritas.

We each ordered a different flavored margarita and they were wonderful!
Lynette had a regular, April had Strawberry, and I (of course) had Blue Agave.

Like I said, my camera was being a dud so we didn't take many pictures, but along with our margaritas we had table side made guacamole. This was THE BEST guacamole I have ever eaten! I could have eaten the entire bowl with chips for my meal, but I ordered food too.

After dinner we went back to April's apartment to watch a movie and eat some delicious cupcakes from The Cake Mamas. The cupcakes were amazing and I ate every morsel.

I had a great time with the girls and wish that we lived closer (it took me just under 2 hours to get to April's apartment) but it was worth it! Thanks for a wonderful time girls!!

Saturday was my day to sleep in and do some chores that I have been putting off. The major chore I tackled today was cleaning out our pantry. We had a few expired cake mixes and lots of snacks that we don't need in the house, and it felt really good to toss those.

The bottom shelf was all haphazard; filled with our baking dishes, popcorn maker, and other baking needs that had nowhere else to go. I am so glad that this task is done, one less thing on my mind and I feel much better when parts of my life are organized!

Tonight I'm working on a little project and relaxing (with peace of mind thinking about my organized pantry). I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and are getting some of your own projects done!
