Good evening friends! Another week is winding up and I have some time to sit and check in with myself you. Here are some recent happenings:
Chris and I have both been working a lot this week. One morning we were missing Chris so this is the picture we sent to him. Bailey is saying "Cheese". She's such a ham!
We were playing in the garage the other morning when Bailey saw our bikes and wanted to go for a ride. So I grabbed our helmets (which she insists on wearing, thankfully) and we rode over to our neighborhood park. After already having a bath earlier in the morning, she got right down into the sand, wanting her feet buried and loving digging in the sand. Bath #2 happened as soon as we got home.
I decided to treat us while Chris was at work and we spent some time at the beach {which Bailey loves saying, and it sounds exactly like what you think it would sound like coming from a 21 month old}. Bailey is absolutely fearless and ran right into the waves, causing me to grab her up a few times when a bigger wave was coming. She loved walking on the promenade along the beach and called out "Hi!" to everyone that we passed.
I finished my first custom order!
12 feet of pastel eggs.
It was so exciting to get my first custom order and I really loved the way that it came out!
Bailey found a bottle of nail polish and offered to paint my nails for me. How could I resist...
Another day, we visited a new park in town and I was surprised that my little monkey climbed right up this ladder without hesitation.
Bailey is very scared of our neighbor's go-carts so I thought she would be frightened by the lawn mower, but we decided to stay outside to see how she would react. As you can see...she loved waving to her Dada and every time he would walk by us she would frantically wave until he waved back. It was so cute!
We BBQ'd the other night and it was cooling off so Bailey donned her jacket (or "a jack" as she calls it) and her cap as we spent time in the backyard.
When Bailey was napping, Chris and I were re-stringing up our backyard lights. I love how they turned out, it reminds me of our wedding where we danced the night away under the same style of lights.
I saw THIS on pinterest and thought Bailey would enjoy it.
She really did! She wanted more and more bubbles and loved splashing in the colors that filled her tray. I wasn't a fan of the vinegar smell (she was right next to the open screen door) and She wasn't a fan of the taste, but I would definitely do it again.
Overall, we had a great week. Chris gets some Dada/Bailey time this weekend and I'm looking forward to some time together as a family on Monday {and getting dinner with some friends Monday night}. I hope that you're enjoying Spring and doing something fun with the ones you love!
