...aka Misfit Lane! Maria affectionately called their property Misfit lane because of their special animals.
Michael and Maria live just down the street from G&G's house. But to get to their house, you have to drive down this one lane "driveway". You also have to stop a little further down because there are train tracks without crossing guards, so you have to stop, look both ways to make sure no train is coming, and then cross over them. I'm glad we visited in the summer and didn't have to drive down this lane in the snowy winter!
The first of the misfits: Helen
Helen is their blind duck {named after Helen Keller). She is just the most darling! She just walks in circles looking for food with her head bent down to the ground. Helen has the softest, downiest feathers!
They also have lots of chickens, here are some young chickens in one of their coops.
They also have three goats who were eager to meet us.
Getting up close and personal!
Roosters roaming around the yard.
Misfit #2
Lexi, the bucktoothed cow. (if you look closely, or click on the picture it's easier to see her teeth)
and her calf, so cute!
More chickens! For some reason their back feathers are falling off...making them look like they have been plucked in a few spots!
The chicken coop! {Getting any ideas Mom and Dad?)
One of the incredible views from their property...a Christmas tree farm!
Misfit #3
Tri-pod, the three legged cat.
A man on a tractor...how could a girl resist?
(Even if it's not a big green tractor, I'd still let him take me for a ride)
me and Chris' cousin, Sydney. I'm going to miss her, we had a great time together!
{ok, on a side note...I need to wear this shirt with a belt so I don't look pregnant! Although, after eating all the good food we had I'm sure I gained at least 10 pounds on vacation!)
As in the above picture, Sydney has a habit of closing her eyes in pictures, so we held our eyes open to make sure she didn't blink this time!
Thank you Michael and Maria for having us over!!

Those 'misfits' are awesome! I think my favorite is the cow. Although I wouldn't mind having a blind duck or a 3 legged cat. :-) Did they get the cat and duck before or after their 'issues'?
I'm not sure about the cat, but a raccoon got the duck when she was a baby and they were able to rescue Helen before it took her away.
It was fun to spend time on the "farm"!
