Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday dear friends!
Here I am, back with my {ir}regular Happy Sunday post.
I hope that today is finding you in a good mood, enjoying something that makes you happy!
Here are a few things from my world this week.

We had a new group of dispatchers start at work this week and one of them brought in a huge tray of delicious cookies for us (made by his wife). They were personalized for our department and I even found a cookie that looks like me!
They were SO yummy!

Bailey was on spring break this week and I have been doing my best to find things to keep us busy and not just plunking her down in front of a movie. One day we were up early and spent a lot of time in the kitchen. We made banana bread, meatloaf, and brownies...all before noon.

Bailey LOVES to help in the kitchen and even though it makes more of a mess, takes more time, and she likes to taste everything as we are making it, it is fun {and sometimes frustrating} to have her helping me.

We were having a rough time, my girl and I. Bad attitudes, potty accidents, back talking, disobedience, and frustration on both our parts.
I decided we needed to do something fun and outside so we created Bailey's rainbow book to take with us on a walk.

On each page inside is labeled with a different color, so that when we take a walk, Bailey can find things of different colors and draw them on the coordinating pages. We haven't used it yet, but she gets so excited that she made it and proudly showed it to her Daddy when he got home from work.

Growing up, my Nana would make big breakfasts when we spent the night at their house. I remember my brother using so much syrup that his pancakes were literally floating on his plate. One thing I always loved was fresh strawberries in cream.
We have THE BEST strawberry stand near our house and now that Bailey isn't allergic, we try to have them as often as possible. The other night I wanted something sweet and decided to make my own version, but with milk instead of cream.

It was the perfect amount of sweetness to feel like dessert and remind me of even sweeter time with my Nana.

I do my best to avoid ironing. Especially with kids, there seems to be no point to buying, let alone wearing clothes that wrinkle easily. But there is the rare time that I want to wear something a little nicer and I found a product that really helps me avoid the iron...

It might not work as good as an iron, but for me, it is pretty darn close.

I love looking back at my week and seeing what I deemed worthy to take pictures of (other than my family that is). I'm learning it's about the little things that make life a little easier, a little sweeter, and a lot more memorable!
