Fresh air

It is rare that Chris and I get a day off together and since we each took a day of vacation last Saturday, we actually had two days off together!
We took Bailey to her first hockey game (more on that later) and we decided to take a family hike on Sunday.
Bailey wasn't too excited to go, until we told her she could wear her bathing suit and maybe swim at the end of it.
I think she looks ready for an 80's party!
The hike is up and down a bit, we took a water break about a mile in and Bailey did great! We had Wyatt in the stroller and then I carried him.
At the end of the trail is a beautiful waterfall and pool/stream.

It was a beautiful day, in the high 70's and we were excited to see the water and Bailey immediately wanted to jump in.
WE might have let her get in the small stream, even though there was a sign not to.
Sometimes you have to rebel a bit...and her enjoyment was totally worth it!
My own bathing beauty!

Wyatt loved looking around and the extra 25 pounds was good for my workout!
We might have dipped his toes into the cool water before enjoying our picnic lunch.
It was a wonderful way to spend our day together, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
{Wyatt even slept through the night after!}

Hopefully we can find more time to explore our local area more often!
