With our last four days of just being Bailey and me (while Chris is at work) we have been filling out days making memories together! Here is how we've been spending our time together:
We visited our favorite local farm: It was a perfect day to go because as we were driving it began to rain, so we headed to the craft store until the rain stopped.
It only rained for a few minutes and when we got to the farm, there were only about 8 visitors! (The farmers told us they had 8 schools scheduled for that day but they all left or cancelled once the rain started). There were no lines and Bailey could run around all she wanted. She rode her favorite pony (marshmallow) twice, pet the baby goats, "drove" the combine tractor, and we took a private ride around the farm on the cow train.
{the train was so bumpy I'm surprised I didn't go into labor!}
I've been wanting to take Bailey to a paint your own pottery place and so we did it! Bailey picked out a pony to paint for her Mema's Mother's Day gift.
Bailey had a great time and I found some cheap versions for her to paint at home, hopefully a craft for her to do when I'm busy with her brother!
My Mom sent me a link to a local fairy hunt and I thought it sounded like something Bailey would love. I didn't realize it included an almost 1 mile hike when I bought the tickets! Fortunately the hike was more of a stroll with lots of stops, Bailey LOVED it!
She warned right up to the fairies and would not take off her fairy costume all day!
We've also spent time talking to her brother (and feeling him move), painting fingernails, and watching movies.
We have had a busy four days and I'm thankful to be home resting for a bit before another busy day tomorrow, fortunately Chris is home tomorrow so we can spend the day as a family.
I hope that you are having a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day to you tomorrow!
