photo overload

Well..another week has come and gone. Here are a bunch more pictures of our life lately...

Bailey and I were driving and she was smiling at me in the rear view mirror, so I quickly turned around and snapped a pic. I am so lucky that I get to be this girl's Momma!

We've started our third session of Mommy and me swimming {but at a new pool} and Bailey is quite the little dare-devil fish! She quickly jumps off the side into the pool and lets go, whether someone is holding her or not.

Chris' Mom has given Bailey all the Yo Gabba Gabba character beanie babies and Bailey is obsessed! She wanted them all to eat lunch with her one day.

She put all five of the characters in a basket and was carrying them around the other day.

We were having a lazy day and I decided to build a fort in the den. Bailey really enjoyed it but since she is a busy girl, she didn't sit still inside it for long.

We move our schedules around whenever possible so that one of us is home with Bailey, which is great for her, but leaves Chris and I with precious little time together. Fortunately, Facetime works when I'm at work and I was able to say goodnight to my loves before going to bed a few shifts ago.

Bailey will sit in the glider in her room and "read" for extended periods of time. I really hope she keeps her love of reading as she grows!

One day she sat there for over twenty minutes!

She kept looking out the window to see if her Dada was home yet.
{She is definitely growing, look how long she is!}

We recently got a bike seat for Bailey and have enjoyed a few outings. She loves being outside and is so observant, that biking around is so enjoyable with her.

Our first bike ride together we rode over to get sandwiches and continued on to our neighborhood park for a picnic. I hope Bailey appreciates what a fun Dad she has!

I am the luckiest!

Bailey will grab her toothbrush whenever she sees it. I was having a hard day and decided we deserved ice cream (Chris and I did anyway, Bailey was heading to bed). We headed out the door and along came her toothbrush.

My Mom came down to watch Bailey while we were working and she gave Bailey her first braid!

My Mom and Chris' Mom were able to come watch us swim this week! Bailey was happy to have them there {and wanted to be with them more than in the pool a few times}. This pool is outside and Bailey was staying cool with her heart shades.

Today was a bit grey and windy outside so I decided we were due for a lazy, comfy clothes day. Today was also the first time Bailey's toenails were painted! I was surprised that she sat still and kept her fingers off her toes while I painted them. She did sit and play with them for awhile after they dried...I think she likes them painted pink!

Bailey has also decided that she only wants to take one {hour and a half} nap during the day instead of her daily two, two hour naps. I'm not sure who this is harder on, but mostly I think it's harder on us! It's definitely an adjustment for us all!

I've had a lot going on in my mind lately...some heavy stuff, some light stuff and some just everyday stuff. I've been trying to sort out what to share and what I want/need to keep private. I'm sure I'll be sharing more soon, but for now, we'll keep it with the light stuff.

I rarely get on the computer any more. At work, I am choosing to read or have conversations with my co-workers during downtime instead of being online and while at home, I have things to get done in the little time I have alone while Bailey naps. I apologize if I haven't been as faithful in blogging or in reading the blog of others, but we are in an adjustment period in our life around here.

Looking forward to some more posts soon.

XOXO,
Mallory
