Saturday I was able to go visit Shannon and Addi. I am so glad that we have remained friends and it is so fun watching Addi grow and become more interactive. She kept us laughing all day and it is easy to see that she is going to have such a sweet personality.
We went to lunch at Sweetsalt. A sandwich shop owned by Top Chef (season 5) contestant Alex Eusebio. The sandwiches were delicious and the bread pudding was amazing! If you' re in the Toluca Lake area, I would suggest you stop by!
Sunday and Monday were my days to continue packing. I think that we have packed up what we can for now, since we are still a few weeks away from the actual move, I can't really pack up the kitchen or bedroom. Our garage is full of boxes and our house kind of looks like a war zone right now, we have to dodge boxes and bags and cleaning supplies, etc.

Monday I went to the $.99 store and got much needed cleaning supplies, garbage bags, spray bottles (for taking down wallpaper at the new house...can't wait for that fun!), and all kinds of other goodies t get the new house in shape. I might have gone a little overboard spending $125! But, it's all things that we will use and none of it will go bad.
I was also able to go to dinner with my sweet friend Jenny!

We had a great night going to dinner and a movie. It was wonderful to catch up since we haven't seen each other since before Christmas.
This weekend made me remember what great friends I have and how thankful I am to have such special people in my life.
The next few weeks/months will, no doubt, be hectic and tiring and stressful; but I know in the end we will have a wonderful place to call home and we are excited to make it our own. I hope that you had a great weekend and a promising week ahead!
