With all things Wyatt lately I thought it was time to spotlight our darling girl for a bit!
I cannot put into words how blessed I feel to have Bailey! Although there are times that she tries my patience and can be stubborn, defiant, strong-willed, and exhausting, I love her more than life itself and am so lucky that I get to be her Mom!
Bailey started preschool this year!
She absolutely LOVES going to school and has quickly made some friends in class. Sometimes I get to school a little early to watch her on the playground and it makes me so happy seeing her running around and playing with her friends.
Chris and I went to her back to school night and her teachers had only good things to say about her!
I love listening to her stories about how her day went and what they did in class, who she played with and how she helped her teachers. She is definitely doing well with having a routine on school days and it is nice for us to have time to run errands or try to get a nap in while she is in class.
In addition to school, Bailey has also been taking gymnastics classes!
She has so much fun and I love watching her progress! {Her legs look so long in the bottom right pic!} I really think that gymnastics is helping with her listening and her ability to follow directions at home, as well as getting some much needed energy out!
This girl is princess OBSESSED, she would live in her princess dresses if we let her!
She has many dresses to choose from and often changes throughout the day. We almost always have princess songs playing (thank you Pandora Disney children's station) and often have dance parties. She loves to twirl, be presented to the room as whatever princess she is at that moment, and watches princesses on youtube. Her absolutely favorite toys at the moment are Disney Princess MagiClip Dolls. She brings them everywhere and I love watching her as she plays, her imagination is vast and she is always coming up with voices and scenarios for her dolls.
Bailey is so helpful!
I promise this picture wasn't staged, I was getting ready to vacuum and she asked if she could do it!
Whether I'm making dinner, putting away laundry, or changing Wyatt's diaper, Bailey will come and ask if she can help me. She has such a caring heart and likes to be involved in whatever we're doing. I'm learning to slow down, make a bit more of a mess, and teach instead of just doing it myself so that Bailey can help me.
Bailey loves make up (both having her own done and doing mine). We reserve it to special occasions, like Halloween and wearing some lip gloss, but I found a coupon for some face paint so we have been enjoying painting each other's faces.
I tried to make Bailey look like the puppy in the sample picture, but it came out more zombie puppy-ish. She thought she looked great and then wanted to look like a bunny. I'm not sure what I was supposed to look like, but she enjoyed painting!
She's not very into coloring or drawing, she scribbles and then is done. She will draw haphazard circles and scribbles, but gets excited to mail her pictures to our family and friends. She does like "writing" her name (usually just circles) and often helps me decorate cards or envelopes that I'm writing.
She is a funny girl. I am amazed at what she says. She has an amazing vocabulary and will often say something that has us shaking our heads wondering where she heard it (not bad words, just random big words and phrases). She likes to reason with us and will explain what is going to happen, usually when she wants something and she will tell us what will happen so she can get it.
(we were sitting outside waiting for the rain to start and she was pretending to sunbathe)
She is smart, caring, helpful, stubborn, thoughtful, loving, full of energy, imaginative, daring, creative, beautiful, silly, frustrating, observant, loud, rambunctious, quick to laughter and quick to tears, a momma's girl, the light of my life.
Sometimes I look at her and wonder how our tiny first born baby has already sprouted and grown into such a beautiful little girl! No longer my tiny, helpless baby, but growing into a strong, independent, caring, loving child. Everyday I am amazed at all she has learned in 3 years and how she teaches me, challenges me, and helps me grow. I am learning so much about her and from her on a daily basis. I don't know where the word will take her, I'm just glad I'm along for the ride!
