We took Bailey out to the Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree this year.
We had to take a picture in Santa's sleigh!
We found our tree!
When we first arrived they told us that they were running low on medium sized trees and that if we found a tall one we liked, we could cut it down to size. Fortunately, Chris brought his muscles and cut one down!
He did it!
{Notice the stump behind him? Yep, that's where he cut the tree, it was over 13 feet tall originally!}
Each year we get an ornament that represents something that happened over the year. Here are some of our ornaments:
These are our special ones added this year.
(my favorite is Bailey's foot print when she was 7 weeks old)
All of Chris' fishing ornaments. He did tell me he wished the boat represented him getting a bass boat.
Sorry honey...not this year!
And some ornaments throughout the years:
1. My Mom made this for me when I was in preschool (I think)
2. Cork reindeer Mom made
4. School house for Chris graduating paramedic school (2009)
5. My Godmother made us this special camel tag (2010)
6. An engagement ring (2009)
7 & 8 Giants and Dodgers for our continued baseball rivalry
9. Just married (2010)
I love adding ornaments and finding something that was important for that year. It's fun to reminisce as we decorate our tree each year.
I did do a little decorating around our house and I might get around to taking some pictures, but if you want to see a really lovely home decorated, pop over to take a tour of my friend Shannon's home. I'm in awe!
Just another reason why my husband makes me laugh...
Doesn't he look really excited to be decorating?
What's your favorite Christmas tradition?

You have quite the memorable collection of ornaments! Glad you are making memories with your sweet family. And thanks for the shout out...I'm so flattered my friend :)
Oh and my favorite Christmas tradition growing up (and something we have started doing with our kids as well) is driving around on Christmas Eve to look at all the lights throughout the neighborhood. The kids SQUEAL with delight! I love watching their eyes light up...so cute.
