Last Friday, I decided to go try out an exercise boot camp in Ventura. I have been majorly slacking lately in my workouts {I'm sad to say, I'm not going to be mud running this weekend, but there are four more that I can do in the near future!}, so when a friend invited me to join her at boot camp, I agreed.
I much prefer to be outside in the fresh air working out rather that feeling suffocated inside of a gym, so the idea of working out in a park at the beach was just up my alley.
We got to the park almost an hour early and decided to walk around a bit. It was a beautiful day!
The class got started and everyone was really nice and the instructor was very encouraging to us first-timers! It was an hour of weights, running, sweat, and exhaustion! It was such a great workout and we felt so good after, other than being dead tired! We decided to reward ourselves with frozen yogurt after making it through the first class.
We are going to try to keep it up, but we were both so sore after the one class, we have skipped out all week so far. Hopefully we can ease back into it and keep it up!
What do you do to keep in shape? {no matter what shape that is!}

I'm inconsistent, to say the least, but now I'm walking with a group of women through a place I do volunteer work and...Hula Praise - hula to Christian music. We've done Open My Eyes and How Great Is Our God. You can go to YouTube to catch some of this, not my group, but just to see what I'm doing. Used to hula when I lived in Hawaii (I was 6). Trying to do more walking and get to the gym where I volunteer, too.
Bootcamp and Pilates..yay us!
