We have a wonderful farm close by and since it gets ridiculously crowded on the weekends, we stick to visiting on the weekdays. Bailey loves riding the ponies and feeding the animals.
Bailey and Chris went on the cow train around the farm.
My Pawpaw always told us that if we could carry a pumpkin, we could get it. So I decided that was a good rule for Bailey. This pumpkin did not meet that criteria, although she tried.
Bailey seems to be a chicken whisperer, somehow being able to grab the roaming chickens without them knowing it.
Bailey has been obsessed with all dresses lately. It's all dresses all the time around here. Thankfully, some after Halloween sales have been good for adding to her dress-up box.
Sometimes she wants to be a princess...jewels and all!
And other times she likes to dress us up...Doesn't Chris look thrilled to be a kitty cat?
Even though Chris hasn't been on vacation, it's been wonderful spending time together on his days off.
Bailey was asked to take some pictures for advertising for a local photographer and I was able to sneak in for one shot.
Bailey has been waking up once or twice a night, I think having nightmares, but thankfully most nights she goes back to sleep pretty quickly. On the nights it takes her longer to fall back asleep and a few extra cuddles are needed, she gets to come into bed with us...mostly for my sake!
I found this cute nightlight online and was hoping it would help with the nightmares. I think it has a little, and I love that it matches the décor in her room.
I've been trying to keep this little one busy and finger painting on the back porch is one of her new favorite things to do. {of course, it has to be done wearing something like a dress...a bathing suit with a tutu attached was perfect}.
We were able to have a night out with some of our best friends, going to dinner and the Luke Bryan concert! It was the best concert I have ever been to and we all said that we would go again the next night if we could! I can't explain how amazing it was!!
{Doesn't my cowboy look so handsome!?}
The day after the concert, we joined our friends at the SB Zoo for their Boo at the Zoo event. It was so fun dressing up and watching Bailey say trick or treat for some candy.
Bailey as Cinderella and Kylie as Minnie Mouse
We love our friends!
Prince Charming Dada putting on Bailey's glass slipper.
Even after a busy weekend, we decided to head to Santa Monica for a day of sunshine on the pier. We bought Bailey a wristband so that she could go on unlimited rides and she had a great time!
She loves "driving" and had a blast on the rides!
We bought tickets for the large Ferris wheel and as soon as we got on, Bailey huddled on the floor grabbing the pole!
She spent the first half of the ride like this.
We were able to coax her up and she loved looking at the water and beach!
We didn't plan ahead and Bailey ran right into the water in her dress.
I decided that we would paint our pumpkins this year instead of carving them and Bailey happily painted hers, and our pumpkins.
To add to our full days {and memory banks} we were able to meet our wonderful friends April and her niece Kaitlyn at the LA Zoo for a day.
We had a great day! It wasn't crowded or too hot and the girls had fun together. It was so great catching up with one of my best friends!
Bailey was Cinderella for Halloween and she loved it! We waited to go trick-or-treating until Chris got home from work, and every time the doorbell rang, Bailey ran to see the kids costumes.
We didn't do much decorating and walking up to some other houses were kind of spooky. We kept telling Bailey that the house is a little spooky, but not scary. Bailey kept telling us "It's not scoopy!"
This was her "scoopy" face.
We have been having a great time making memories and filling our days with fun things and events. Now back to our normal for us life, finding time together and making sure our girl stays her happy self!
