My Hero

Happy birthday to my first hero...my amazing, handsome, wonderful, kind, loving, sweet, caring, smart, helpful, special DAD!

You have always been my rock and I have leaned on your shoulders too many times to count. Knowing that you are there to dry my tears, prop me up, and cheer me on has made my life tremendously smoother.

You have jumped into the role of Grandpa so naturally and I know Bailey is going to love learning from you. It is obvious how much she already loves you because she gets so excited when she hears your voice and sees you in person.

I love our traditions and how we always have a good time when we are together.

You are always happy to lend a hand, teach us, have patience while we learn from you, and are always giving to others!

Thank you for making it easy for Chris to fit into our family and into my life. He looks up to you and to you for advice and help and I know that he is forever grateful for all that you do for us.

You have forever made me disappointed when I order steak at a restaurant. We have been spoiled with how great of a BBQ'er and chef you are!

You make life fun!

There is no one else I would have hold my hand as I walked down the aisle and Somewhere over the rainbow will forever be our song.

You keep our family happy and even though it's not always easy for us to get together, you make sure everyone knows how much we are loved.

Christmas day surfing is one of my favorite memories with you. Our time together in the water was always special...you pushing me to face my fear of the big waves and giving me the courage to stand up, knowing you would be there (or riding the next wave to meet me on shore) with a high five gave me the push I needed to take a chance.

I don't know what my life would be like without you in it, but I do know it would not be as wonderful as it is today. You have encouraged me, taught me, listened to me, always made me feel important, and given me the courage to stand on my own two feet.

Happy birthday to you Daddy. I love you and am so glad you're mine!

What a lovely tribute to you dad, Mallory! You have such a wonderful way with words. Your dad has gotten great joy in being your parent, and Bailey's grandpa. As the years go bu you will realize, even more, how much he's loved you.
Love your momma and one of daddy's girlfriends (you and Bailey being the others)
