Honestly, hearing that we are having a girl was a bit shocking to me! I was absolutely sure that we were having a boy and that was where my mindset was. After absorbing it, I am really excited {not that I wasn't at first, it was just a shock so I had to change my thinking}! I have a wonderful relationship with my Mom and I am excited to share that relationship with our little girl.
Growing up, I was a very girly girl! I always wanted to look my best, in my dresses and tights and shoes, etc. {oh, how things have changed!} I'm looking forward to choosing cute outfits for our little one and especially the little shoes and socks. What I'm not looking forward to: hairstyles! I have no hair braiding, hair curling, hair-anything talent. My Mom did my hair whenever I asked, for a few high school dances and did it for my wedding! Maybe I need to find someone to teach me how to do cute braids and easy styles on little girl hair!
I'm also excited to let her try out any activities she is interested in. I have tried over 15 different sports/activities in my life and being able to try things out made me be able to decide which I wanted to pursue. Horseback riding, dance, water polo, swimming, volleyball, karate, and soccer are just some of the activities I attempted and I am looking forward to seeing what she chooses.
I know that watching Chris with our baby girl is going to be so special. He is so wonderful with babies in general and knowing that this little precious one is part of him will just make everything that much more fun to watch. I have really enjoyed how he treats me, and touches my growing belly, and the stronger bond this experience is creating between us, especially since we found out we're having a girl.
I know that parenting will most likely be challenging at times, I feel so blessed to be doing it with him by my side and as my partner. Let the adventure begin!

I am completely lost when it comes to hair. Natalie has two hairstyles: up or down! I've heard that there are some good how-to videos on youtube.
One of my favorite mommy/daughter things to do is painting nails! So cute to see those tiny pink toes. :-)
